We had a great Halloween this year an enjoyed being together and with family for it. We started here at the house getting Taden ready, had a bit of a melt down (as you will see in the 2nd picture). We went to just a few places here in town to trick-or-treat and then we hopped in the car and drove to Rives where my parent's church was hosting a "trunk-or-treat"! We've never gone to it in years past so this was our first year and boy was it awesome! Very well done and very well put on - and I'm not just saying that b/c it's my parent's church!) :) For anyone who doesn't know what "trunk-or-treat" is, let me tell you a few details... volunteers decorate the trunk of their car in a certain theme. It could be anything from football, to disco, to a cartoon show, to a railroad/engineer, etc. And you walk from trunk to trunk, collecting candy from the owner of the car. The car owner can dress up too if wanted. This idea is especially nice for those who live in the country, as door-to-door trick-or-treating can be way too far to walk. (Last I knew, there were about 900 people who came thru this trunk-or-treat! 400 were in the first 20 minutes!!!) My sister in law Marci and her mom volunteered to decorate their trunk and decided on a train engineer theme after hearing that that was what Taden was going to be this year :) Their trunk was the best in our opinion, though they didn't win the contest. There was also tractor/hay rides and small ponies for the kids to ride. Also one of those huge blow up things that kids play on. Inside the church they served cider/coffee and donuts, and popcorn. It was really neat! Thanks to Grpa and Grma Davidson, Taden had a wooden tain whistle and a tin "coal pail" to collect candy in :)

This starts the pics that were taken at the trunk-or-treat. By the 3rd trunk, he had it figured out and would hold his pail out for the person to put candy in - he even tried "double dipping" and SUCCEEDED! :) Smart kid! :)

Having a wagon for the trunk or treat was so nice, we just pulled him along and stopped at each spot. I have a feeling it would have been a lot slower going if we had let him walk. And he may have gotten tired of walking too. The wagon was sure handy!
Auntie Marci and Tae - matching outfits!!! :) My mom has a pic of me and my Aunt Tawnya when I was maybe 2 years old (?) and we were both dressed alike in clown costumes for Halloween, so this pic is a special one to me b/c it's something me and my aunt did and now Tae and Auntie Marci have that too :)
