Happy Memorial Day!

This morning Scott met a few of the firefighter's and the Chief at the "Depot", a small diner type restaurant right near our house. We can actually see the diner's driveway from our living room window. So Scott walked down for breakfast and from there he got our vehicle and went to the fire department b/c the firefighter's had to be there at 9am to get ready for the Memorial Day parade. My sister in law and her mom came to our house and we walked down to Main Street to get a spot by the road to watch the parade. I pulled Taden in his wagon and he really enjoyed that :) Some of the people in the parade threw candy for the kids so I picked up a sucker for Taden and he thoroughly enjoyed that! When Scott got to where we were standing, Taden was so full of glee and was laughing and LOVING seeing daddy in the fire truck. Then he decided he WANTED daddy and was trying to get down to run to Daddy. When I wouldn't let him, he started crying :( He recovered though and we walked down to the cemetary where they do a Memorial Day service. That was good and then Scott met up with us and we all came back to our house. Marci and her mom left, Taden ate lunch and then went down for his nap and then Scott and I had our lunch out on the patio, which was really nice. It's nice to have a "down" day to just relax and take it easy. We might get ice cream later :) Taden likes the waffle cone better than the ice cream!!!
